“I feel my greatest strength lies in relieving pain, whether it be a chronic condition such as  fibromyalgia or migraines, or an acute condition such as knee, back or neck injury. Sometimes from suffering the pain, emotional strife arises – anxiety, lack of sleep, fatigue or stress. Acupuncture is quite an effective treatment that provides deep relaxation, stress release, creates sustainable energy, in addition to being great for immune system support , respiration, musculoskeletal issues and especially for organ efficiency. I have assisted couples with infertility problems, and women with menses or menopause issues.  I’m saddened to say that I see malnutrition more than I like.  Many who suffer from ill health do so because of their meal choices. In relation to your Asian Diagnosis, specific whole foods will help you to regain oxygen, hydration and energy, and in addition, will help you to rest deeply, soundly and wake refreshed.  I am here to assist you with knowing which foods are healing for you.”

Why Georgian took this path: Since she was a young woman, her mother was ill for most of her life.  Her mother constantly sought help from numerous doctors yet her ailments progressively worsened.  In watching this drama unfold over the years, she became curious as to why.  Her mother took her medicine, had all procedures and operations recommended, followed her doctors instructions, and yet….    And so, in turning from the conventional cures that didn’t seem to help, Georgian suggested that her mother become a vegetarian after hearing a Neurolinguistic Programmer speak about food and the health benefits derived from it.  So, in supporting her mom, she and her mother turned to food as a cure with tremendous results.  During those early years, she earned a Bachelors in Holistic Nutrition.  Her mother, who was only given until 1980 to live, survived until 2002 (living until her 80th year).

Experience is the best teacher!  In learning that food held such curatives, she wondered what else did.  So, she sought knowledge – both current and ancient knowledge; even traveling to China to experience what’s known as “integrative medicine” (this is where both Eastern and Western medicine are used together) which is doing what’s best for the patient on all accounts.  Her journey became her passion.

Today, her passion is her life’s work.  She’s highly skilled in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.   But, before earning that distinction, she studied the Materia Medica – the study of Chinese Herbal Medicine, Meditation, Yoga, Holistic Nutrition, Contemplative Psychology, Native American healing, Tibetan healing, Allopathic medicine (Western), and Naturopathic medicine.

Georgian earned her Masters in the Science of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA.  She is Board Certified by the NCCAOM. This recognition certifies that she is a Diplomate in Acupuncture – the highest of distinctions in the field of Chinese Medicine.  She completed her clinical studies both at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and at the Chengdu University in Chengdu, China.  She holds a Bachelors in Western Science and Holistic Nutrition.  She currently holds a License for Acupuncture in the State of Washington and State of Arizona.  She is the owner and founder of Acupuncture Solutions and the former President of the South Sound Acupuncture Association.  Georgian is a specialist in East Asian Medicine.

She feels that her work is important, and it is her mission is to ensure that her patients feel heard, respected and understood.  Her specialty is in offering gentle non-invasive techniques that re-balance one’s physical and emotional bodies to create vitality and enthusiasm in addition to a pain-free, worry-free and stress-free life.  She sees acupuncture, good nutrition and therapeutic bodywork as not only valuable, but necessary adjuncts to western medicine, exercise, meditation and mindful work.

Georgian enjoys hiking, playing softball & tennis, cooking & eating, going to the theatre to see a play or hear music, and is a movie buff.  And, she loves her dog Brody Brown, a black lab – 4 years old.
